Dear Valued Customer,

Ongoing tensions in the Middle East continue to have an impact on global transportation operations. Elevated security risks in the Strait of Hormuz, along with disruptions in regional airspace, are affecting both maritime and air shipments. Some vessels in the Gulf region have been required to adjust their routes, temporarily suspend operations, or return to port due to increased military activity.

Should these disruptions intensify, cargo flows may need to be redirected to alternative regional hubs, which could lead to congestion at ports and delays across the global shipping network.

The ongoing conflict has also contributed to a significant increase in global fuel prices, particularly affecting diesel and marine fuel markets, including in Europe.

As a result, we will be implementing a fuel surcharge, which will be reviewed and adjusted on a weekly basis.

At SSL, we are closely monitoring the situation and will keep you informed of any developments. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to your usual SSL contact.

We sincerely appreciate your understanding and continued support.

Kind regards,
Team of Scandinavian Shipping & Logistics
